DSWeb Tutorials Competition '07

DSWeb held a student competition for online tutorials in dynamical systems. The two winning entries are interactive self-paced tutorials that would be of interest to students beginning to learn the subject. They appear in the DSWeb tutorial section.

SIAM Conference on Applications of Dynamical Systems

Snowbird 2007 took place May 28 - June 1 with more participants than ever. Luz Vela (Georgia Tech, Atlanta) was there and also took part in the sessions organised by the Association for Women in Mathematics; her report offers an insider's view of both Snowbird and AWM activities.

Guckenheimer elected for article on "Bifurcation" in Scholarpedia

The Encyclopedia of Dynamical Systems, hosted by Scholarpedia the free peer-reviewed encyclopedia, conducted an election of authors for the article "Bifurcation" with the goal to identify the best living expert to invite to write such an article.
