Due to the courtesy of Russian Mathematical Surveys we can reprint it here with some added links and a brief introduction, pointing to related material.

On the ballot for DSWeb Magazine

On the ballot for DSWeb Magazine

Mason Porter and Elizabeth Cherry agreed to run for Secretary of our AG. The Secretary is also the Editor-in-Chief of DSWeb Magazine. Traditionally, SIAM invites each candidate to write one or two paragraphs to lay out their plans and opinions. These blurbs will appear on the ballot, along with those of the aspiring Chairs, Vice-Chairs, Program Directors and members of the Advisory Board.
We invited Mason and Elizabeth to explain their vision for the Magazine in particular.
