I am the editor-in-chief of this newsletter, which you can view at http://www.dynamicalsystems.org. Chandler Davis assured me that it should be no problem to obtain permission and that he would contact you about it. However, so far I still have not had any response. Since I would like to know whether it is okay to reproduce the article in the upcoming issue of our newsletter, I was wondering if you could let me know how much longer the permission process is going to take. The two articles appeared in the fall issue of The Mathematical Intelligencer and are "My lunch with Arnol'd" by Gabor Domokos, The Mathematical Intelligencer 28(4): 31--33, 2006. and "Mono-monostatic bodies: the answer to Arnold's question" by Peter Laszlo Varkonyi and Gabor Domokos, The Mathematical Intelligencer 28(4): 34--38, 2006. I have already contacted Gabor Domokos and Peter Varkonyi, who would both be delighted to see the two articles reproduced in our newsletter. The idea is that the authors provide me with the original source files that were submitted to The Mathematical Intelligencer, with some minor corrections. The articles would be virtually identical, though differently type-set to match our electronic format in HTML. Of course, I would give appropriate copyright and credits to the original publications, and I would use the cover image of the issue of The Mathematical Intelligencer in the contents list and at the start of the article to emphasize the original publications.
